The collaboration began through a personal connection and has since developed into a long-term logistics partnership. “Versteijnen delivers on its promises,” says Stein Oudenhuijzen, Warehouse Manager at Magna Tyres. “If we agree that loading will take place on Wednesday and delivery on Thursday, that’s exactly what happens. That reliability is what made us decide to move more of our transport to Versteijnen.”
Reliability comes first
What Magna Tyres values most is the personal contact and the speed of communication. “At Versteijnen, we have one dedicated contact person, which allows us to act quickly,” says Oudenhuijzen. “If we need something, we often get a response within five minutes. With other partners, you typically have to go through a portal and wait for automated replies. The collaboration with Versteijnen truly feels personal, with short lines of communication.”
Supply Chain Manager Michael Luijten agrees: “We aim to provide top-level service to our customers, and that means working with partners who support us in that goal. Versteijnen is a great example of such a partner.”
Flexibility in a demanding sector
With increasing congestion on the roads and unexpected delays during loading, transport disruptions are sometimes unavoidable. Versteijnen responds proactively to these challenges. “If a delivery is at risk of being delayed, we get a call first thing in the morning,” says Oudenhuijzen. “That way, we can inform our customers in time. It creates understanding and makes our jobs much easier.”

Sustainability is a key priority for both Magna Tyres and Versteijnen. The tyre industry faces major challenges – not only in production, but also in transport. Magna Tyres is developing innovative products with lower environmental impact, while Versteijnen contributes with efficient, flexible logistics solutions and actively thinks along on reducing CO₂ emissions. “If I had to sum up our partnership in one sentence,” says Luijten, “I’d call it a reliable, innovative, and forward-looking collaboration that supports efficient and sustainable logistics.”
